While performing audit procedures, we frequently find that appropriate accounting is not maintained in the companies that we audit. In such cases, we advise the clients (small & medium-sized Japanese subsidiaries of foreign companies) and their parent companies what and where the problems are. We also provide them with adequate recommendations.

 

It is also commonly seen that a shared understanding between foreign parent companies and their Japanese subsidiaries is not fostered well due to lack of subsidiaries’ accounting knowledge and/or due to lack of their English communication skills. In such cases, we try to work as bridges between them. Thus, we sometimes even attend a shareholder’s meeting of a subsidiary so that accounting information of the subsidiary can be shared correctly.
